Directors
U13 Recreation Program
Registration:
- Opens June 01 of the current season and closes August 15 of the current season.
- Go to Registration on FSJ website for more information or to register follow the link:
Season Start Up:
- TBD, U13 tryouts will be completed first; previous season startup was mid - September.
- Female players will participate on integrated teams.
- Interested parties for coaches and volunteers can go to Be a Coach | BC Hockey.
- Volunteer/coach application go to the FSJ Minor hockey website.
- Number of teams will be determined by coach applications and number of goaltenders.
- All startup ice times will be posted on the website.
Practice Times:
- If ice time is available 2 shared ice practices between Monday and Friday.
- Additional weekend ice times for those coaches who are interested are available.
Games and Tournaments:
- All games will be full ice and U13 teams participate in the NERHL District League which includes Taylor, Fort Nelson, Dawson Creek, Tumbler Ridge, Chetwynd, Clearview
- Each team will be allowed to attend minimum two out of town tournament per season.
Equipment:
- Minor Hockey jersey and socks will be provided once Groups have been determined.
- Jersey must be returned at season end.
- FSJ Minor Hockey will have a donation table with free equipment:
- located outside the Minor Hockey office which is in the Pomeroy Sports Centre
- Questions about hockey gear - Ernie’s Sports and Canadian Tire can outfit all players.

About the U13 Program Delivery
The U13 recreation program focus is defining individual tactics, team play, fun and sportsmanship.
Players will be evaluated and put into groups according to skill level. Once Groups are formed FSJMHA will host round robin games to help determine all teams are as equal as possible. Head coaches for U13, U13 Coordinator and Sr House Director will meet and make teams after round robin.
Volunteers:
- Volunteer opportunities include: Coach, Team Manager, and HCSP (Safety Person)
- If you're interested in volunteering for one of these positions:
- Register online through your Spordle Account (add yourself as a participant and register as bench staff then list the volunteer position you're interested in)
- Go to Be a Coach | BC Hockey to complete the required courses
